Our Services

Curtis Calibration Services

Curtis Calibration Services provides expert on-site and in-lab calibration for coordinate measuring machines and precision hand tools, with fully documented, NIST-traceable results.

Calibration Scope

A measurement program for every instrument

Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)

Full geometric calibration of bridge, gantry, and horizontal-arm CMMs using laser interferometry and artifact standards — traceable to NIST with complete as-found and as-left documentation.

Optical Comparators

Calibration of optical comparators and profile projectors for magnification accuracy, squareness, and stage travel — ensuring reliable edge and form measurement across all screen sizes.

Height Gages

Verification and adjustment of electronic and Vernier height gages for linearity, repeatability, and probe accuracy — keeping surface-plate measurements dependable at every step.

Vision Machines

Calibration of CNC video and multisensor vision systems for pixel scaling, stage accuracy, and Z-axis repeatability — validated against traceable reference artifacts.

Indicators

Coming Soon

Calibration of dial, test, and digital indicators for range, accuracy, and repeatability — performed on a calibrated indicator tester with full uncertainty documentation.

Micrometers

Coming Soon

Calibration of OD, ID, and depth micrometers using gage blocks and reference standards traceable to NIST — covering the full measuring range with as-found and as-left records.

Calipers

Coming Soon

Calibration of Vernier, dial, and digital calipers for jaw parallelism, flatness, and linearity — verified at multiple points across the measuring range with traceable standards.

Ovens

Coming Soon

Thermal calibration services for industrial ovens and temperature chambers — traceable to NIST standards.

What We Offer

Calibration Services

On-Site Calibration

Curtis Calibration Services travels to your facility to calibrate CMMs and precision tools in place — minimizing equipment downtime and keeping your production schedule on track.

CMM Retrofit

Extend the life and accuracy of aging CMM hardware with a full mechanical and electronics retrofit, bringing your machine back to OEM performance specifications.

Adjustment & Repair

When calibration reveals an out-of-tolerance condition, our technicians perform the mechanical adjustments and repairs needed to restore your instrument to spec.

Consultation

Not sure where your measurement program stands? We help you assess your current gage inventory, identify gaps, and build a calibration interval plan that matches your quality requirements.

Our Process

How a calibration engagement works

01

Assess

We review your equipment list and calibration history to understand current condition and define the right measurement protocol for each instrument.

02

Calibrate

Using NIST-traceable reference standards, our technicians perform a thorough calibration of your CMMs, comparators, and hand tools — on-site or in our lab.

03

Verify

Every calibrated instrument is verified against acceptance criteria before being returned to service, ensuring your measurements meet the required uncertainty budget.

04

Report

You receive a full calibration certificate with as-found and as-left data, traceability statements, and recommended re-calibration intervals for your records.
